Introduction

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease characterized by loss of myelin (demyelination) and damage to nerve fibers (neurodegeneration) in the central nervous system (CNS). MS is associated with a diverse range of physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral symptoms, and can significantly interfere with daily functioning and overall quality of life. MS directly impacts the CNS by causing demyelinating lesions, or plaques, in the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerve; by contributing to overall tissue loss (atrophy) in these areas; and by interrupting communication between key neural pathways that are needed to maintain regular sensory and motor function. [...]

The Heart

The heart is a muscular organ that’s located in our chest between our lungs. The heart is designed to pump blood through our bodies. The right side of the heart pumps blood through the lungs, where the blood is oxygenized; the left side of the heart receives this blood and pumps it to the rest of the body.

The heart is divided into four main areas or chambers – two upper chambers called the left and right atrium, and two lower chambers called the left and right ventricle. There are four valves that control the flow of blood through the heart. They are called the aortic, mitral, pulmonary and tricuspid and have flaps of tissue called leaflets. [...]

What is CCSVI?

CCSVI, or Chronic Cerebro-Spinal Venous Insufficiency, is a condition in which the jugular and azygous veins, which drain blood from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body, are narrowed, malformed, missing or otherwise blocked. Dr. Paolo Zamboni of the University of Ferrara has conducted extensive multiple sclerosis research that indicates that CCSVI could be one of the causes of MS, and a link to finding an effective MS treatment. [...]

Drug Free Multiple Sclerosis Treatments…The Future is Now

Drug Free Multiple Sclerosis Treatments…The Future is Now

Traditional Treatments for MS

The MS infrastructure is a research-pharmaceutical complex populated by neurologists and MS societies that is currently based on the unproven theory that MS is an autoimmune condition. This theory, taught in medical schools, has spawned a drug industry that is expected to grow to more than 20 billion dollars by 2017. So it’s not surprising that most MS neurologists are skeptical and even dismissive of all drug-free therapy and treatments. Neurologists who are and have been the traditional MS gatekeepers are focused on breakthroughs of new drugs, all of which are designed to alleviate MS symptoms, while none of them treat the underlying cause. [...]
